In the latter half of 2013 CKEF was approached by one of the Chiefs at Anum, who had heard about our some of our promising work at Kisse. As ever our objectives and core values remained the same. We supported improved literacy right from the bottom and systematically improved the infrastructure needed to improve the education system. We’re committed to help turn the school around and look to develop Ghana’s next leaders. Construction of a purpose-built library/ICT centre was the “flagship” project for 2014 and 2015, and complimented our basic reading and writing activities. Our mission is to lay the key foundation so that pupils arrive at JHS prepared and ultimately achieve better BECE results. In April 20th, 2015, with the support of foreign and local companies an ultra-modern ICT/Library was commissioned by the Regional Minister Mr Antwi Boasiako-Sekyere, DEC and now MP for Asuogyaman, Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko, and District Education Director Madam Mavis Yirenkyi. Reading standards are steadily improving with over 70% children now able to read fluently. However CKEF will not be satisfied until we have improved reading, writing and ICT levels to over 90% . We are gradually on our way into achieving this goal and transforming Anum Anglican Schools into one of the best performing schools in the district.
